1813 British Guiana/Ireland Mule Penny Variety.  KM.Pn.40 (unpriced),  S.-,  Pridmore 67v.  17.45 g.  Obv. Laureate bust of George III rt., with petite incuse and upright W, for Thomas Wyon, hidden in the center of the bottom fold of the robe., GEORGIUS III.D:G.REX., from the British Guiana stiver coinage.  Rev. small narrow crowned harp of 9 strings, HIBERNIA above, 1813 below.  Edge engrailed left.  Coin orientation.

Pridmore 67 has the W on the left bottom of the truncation as in the die used for British Guiana.  Pridmore 68 has no W.  Hence not listed in Pridmore.  Not present in the Millennium or LaRiviere collections, or the Pridmore, Byrne, or Remick sales.  Ford’s example of Pridmore 68 sold for 1700 sterling in 1990.  Ex Baldwins Diana Sale 24 Sept 2008, L.1266.  A lightly circulated Proof with even brown surfaces.  Excessively Rare.
