Ireland under George III, 1760-1820.  Laureate Bust coinage with long hair, 1774-1782.  A 1775 Halfpenny of 9 Strings, S.6614, 8.36 g., 28 mm., coin orientation, plain edge.  Laureate bust rt. of George III with long hair, legend around GEORGIVS   .   I I I . R E X ., with the pellets at middle height.  Rev. crowned harp of 9 strings divides date at bottom 17  75, with H I B E R N I A . around at the top.  Top of crown to just to the rt. of the midpoint of E and R.  B completely left of crown.

Uncirculated w some red color on both sides.  Broken from a PCGS MS62 Brown holder.  $450.
