2004 Ireland Official Annual 8 Piece Uncirculated Euro Coin Set.  Eight Piece set includes one each the regular 2004 Irish euro denominated coins, 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, 1 Euro, and 2 Euro, all showing the Irish harp on the reverse and the common euro designs on the obverse.  Coins are well struck and carefully selected uncirculated strikes.  40,000 sets issued.

The 2004 set is the second in a series of coin sets produced by the Central Bank in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government, which is responsible for many of Ireland’s national monuments, parks, gardens and nature reserves. The 2004 uncirculated set features Reginald’s Tower, Waterford’s oldest landmark. In the past the Tower has served as a fortress, a prison, home to the High Constable of Waterford City and even as a mint.   In 1463, the Irish Parliament, then meeting in the city, decreed that coins were to be minted at Reginald’s Tower, with the words Civitas Waterford struck on one side.
